AURA Strap 2 helps you take detailed measurements directly from your wrist. However, to get the most accurate and uninterrupted experience, it's crucial to understand how your Apple Watch model interacts with the AURA App.
The Role of Always On Display
Apple introduced the Always On display feature starting with the Apple Watch Series 5, and it's available on Series 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 and the latest Series 10. This feature allows the screen to stay active at a lower brightness when the user is not actively looking at it. Consequently, for these models, the AURA App works seamlessly, providing measurements without any interruption since the screen doesn't turn off automatically.
Navigating Older Apple Watch Models
For users with Apple Watch models Series 4 and earlier, the lack of the Always On display feature means the watch screen is programmed to turn off after a short period of inactivity to preserve battery life. This means that during measurements, the screen may turn off.
To ensure a smooth measurement, we recommend activating the 70-second screen activation feature. Please be aware that the display may still turn off during measurement due to the battery-saving policy. A long vibration will indicate the end of the measurement, even if the screen is switched off.
How to Activate 70-Second Screen
Activating the 70-second screen is straightforward. Here's how you can adjust this setting on your Apple Watch:
- Open the Settings app on your Apple Watch.
- Scroll down and tap Display & Brightness.
- Tap Wake Duration, then select Wake for 70 seconds.
