Follow these steps to take a measurement:
1. Minimum technical requirements:
- WatchOS 8+
- iOS 15+
2. Activate the 'Always On Display' feature in your Apple Watch:
- Apple Watch with 'Always On display' (Series 5 or later): Go to Settings -> Select Display & Brightness -> Enable the Always On feature.
- Apple Watch without 'Always On display' (Series 4 or earlier, SE): The display may turn off during measurement due to the battery-saving policy. A long vibration indicates the end of the measurement, even if the screen is switched off.
3. Sync the Application:
- Open the AURA App on your Apple Watch.
- Ensure your AURA Strap 2 is synced with the AURA App.
- Once syncing is complete, the “How to” instructions will appear on the screen.
- Scroll down to review the guidance, then tap “Get Started.” (This step is only required the first time.)
4. Take the Measurement:
The measurement will start automatically when you open the AURA App on your phone and Watch and place your palm on the metal sensors.
To ensure accurate results, create a loop with your arms by placing the part of your palm just below the thumb on the metal contacts. Hold this position until the green dots on your Apple Watch screen fill up and the word “Completed” appears.
To create a proper loop with your arms while using the device, please follow these steps:
- Ensure that your hands do not touch each other.
- Keep your hands at chest level.
- Make sure your elbows do not rest against your body.
- Touch the plates of the AURA Strap 2 using the palm area at the base of your thumb.
5. Enter Your Weight:
After the measurement, enter your weight on the screen and tap “Apply” to save the data.
6. View Results:
You can view your measurement results on the main screen of the app, both on your Apple Watch and iPhone.
Done!
