  1. What does it do?
    AURA Strap 2 measures your body composition and hydration levels on your Apple Watch.

  2. Does it work with my Apple Watch?
    AURA Strap 2 is compatible with the largest percentage of Apple Watches currently in use, from Series 3 and above, including Series 9, 10 and Ultra 2. It connects with 38/40/41/42 and 42/44/45/46/49 mm Watches.
    Synchronizes with the HealthKit Companion app for Apple Watch.

  3. How can body composition tracking help me?
    A series of day-by-day measurements show the trends as your body composition changes. It makes your workouts more efficient because you can understand (by the numbers) what exercises are definitely good or bad for you.

  4. How often do I need to perform the measurements? Every few hours, daily?
    Measurement is best done once a day. The water content in the body changes during the day, so if you take measurements several times a day, the data may differ markedly due to those changes. You will get the most consistent results if you take measurements under the same conditions once a day. We recommend taking measurements in the evening before eating.

  5. What AURA Strap 2 size fits my watch?

    The AURA Strap 2 is available in two sizes: 

    - The small size: fits 38/40/41/42 mm Apple Watches.
    - The big size: for 42/44/45/46/49 mm Apple Watches.

    Please be aware that if your Apple Watch is Series 10, 42mm, it is compatible with the smaller AURA Strap 2 - 42mm (38/40/41mm). If your Apple Watch is Series 3, 42mm, it is compatible with the larger AURA Strap 2 size: 46/49mm (45/44/42mm).

  6. Why is it better to perform measurements in the evening?
    During the day, the body composition changes slightly. These changes are mainly caused by body water. For this reason, it is recommended to take measurements at the same time of the day. In this case, the natural fluctuations of the body's water will not interfere with tracking changes in body composition. Many manufacturers of smart scales recommend taking measurements in the evening before meals, and we adhere to the same recommendation. We consider this time to be the most favorable because the total body water at this time is close to the daily average values.

  7. How does Strap 2 connect with Apple Watch? If it is secure?
    Strap 2 uses a BLE 4.2+ interface to transfer measured data. Data transferred between devices is encrypted. The reliability of Bluetooth reduces the number of unsuccessful measurements by 99.99% and allows users to take measurements in any environment.

  8. What are the age requirements? 
    Strap 2 supports users from 18 to 130 years old.

  9. Can I pay using HSA/FSA funds?
    Yes, the AURA Strap 2 is eligible for payment through Health Savings Accounts (HSA) and Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA). These programs are available to U.S. citizens, and you can use them by selecting Flex as your payment option at checkout.

  10. How accurate is the AURA Strap 2?
    The new architecture featured in the AURA Strap 2 captures 16 times more data points than the first generation of the device. This improvement brings the accuracy of the AURA Strap 2 up to 95% of a DEXA scan, the gold standard of bioimpedance measurement.

  11. Does it measure hydration?
    AURA Strap 2 measures how much water you have in your body with the help of bioimpedance analysis.

  12. Does AURA Strap 2 fit my wrist?
    Each device comes with 4 sets of Infinite loops:

     -The 38/40/41/42mm Apple Watches set includes XS, S, M, and L loop sizes and fits 130–200mm wrists.
    -The set for 42/44/45/46/49mm Apple Watches includes M, L, XL, and XXL loop sizes and fits 140–220mm wrists.

    You can pick the size and tightness according to your preferences!

  13. Is it waterproof?
    AURA Strap is water resistant. The device will not be affected by high moisture or immersion in water up to 50 cm / 20 inches. But the device may suffer from direct exposure to a high-pressure water stream. We do not recommend swimming or using the device in the shower.

  14. How are AURA Strap 2’s electrodes made?
    The electrodes on each side of the device are made using medical stainless steel (contains nickel).

  15. How long does it work on a single charge?
    AURA Strap 2 works for up to 6 months using a standard, replaceable round coin battery (CR1632). Simply change spent batteries with the included pick, and it's ready to use. 

  16. Is it safe to use AURA Strap 2 with a pacemaker?
    No, we don't recommend using the device with a pacemaker.

  17. Can you do the measurements with metal objects on your fingers (rings, etc)?
    Yes, you can use the device with metal objects on your fingers.

  18. Can I use the AURA Strap 2 if I have tattoos?
    Yes, you can use the AURA Strap 2 if you have tattoos. The quality of the AURA Strap measurements does not directly depend on the presence of tattoos or skin conditions such as bruises or scars on the wrists.

  19. Can the AURA Strap 2 detect medical conditions or illnesses?
    No, the AURA Strap 2 is not designed to detect or treat any medical conditions or illnesses.

  20. Does a silicon breast implants affect the measurements on the AURA Strap 2? 
    The silicone breast implants do not affect the measurement results of the AURA Strap 2, because the silicone is an insulator and the Strap does not detect the implants when it is making the measurements.

  21. Is it safe to use the AURA Strap 2 during pregnancy?
    We do not recommend using the AURA Strap during pregnancy. While it is safe for both the mother and baby, the measurement results may be displayed inaccurately.

  22. Can I use the AURA Strap 2 in a sauna? Would it be affected by the heat?

    In accordance with our studies and taking into account the components of the UARA Strap 2 and battery, it is not recommended to heat the AURA Strap 2 above +65 degrees Celsius or 149 Fahrenheit.
